I’m a great believer in talking and teaching kids about what I think they need to know. I have talked about all sorts of things with my kids from binge drinking, casual sex to drug taking and I’ve used headlines in the newspapers to real life examples to pass on  my values.

So communicating with your kids from a young age about smoking will reduce the chances that they will light up.

Many people may be under the impression that smoking is now quite passé. After all, you can’t light up anymore in buildings, cafes or restaurants, which leaves smokers to puff away outside on street corners. But it also turns out that many of those who are doing so are teens and young adults.
