How the Olympics can inspire your kids to read too !

Today I’m delighted to be published in Magic Town the place where stories live ! This month my blog post was inspired by my 3 visits to the London Olympics and it got  me pondering about how to use such an historic event to inspire your kids to read.

Here’s the first bit of my post:

“Do you have Olympics fever? We certainly do in our house. I went to the Opening Ceremony Dress Rehearsal at the Olympic Stadium in London, and this got me thinking about using the Olympics to encourage and inspire children to read……..

Here are some of my top tips for encouraging your child to use the Olympics to spring board their life-long love for reading.

1. Follow Olympics News. Read newspapers, magazines and websites. Tell your children about interesting things you’ve read and encourage them to do the same.
