Here’s to practice, abundance, and magic in 2020.
Bring it on, 2020.
This morning I awoke to the sounds of the new year arriving in Australia. My husband Tim was already off at work, and as our boys don’t get out of bed before lunchtime during school vacations, I assumed an intruder had broken into our kitchen to celebrate 2020 with a bowl of our cereal. Turns out my younger son woke up early to ring in a virtual new year with a friend who lives in New South Wales, and lo, the Lahey household entered the new year a little earlier than the rest of Vermont.
2019 was quite a year. The Gift of Failure shot back up to #3 at Amazon thanks to a little help from my Instagram Fairy Godreader Kristen Bell, we adopted a mostly deaf elderly pug who came armed with six teeth and a bad attitude, I finished writing a book on preventing childhood substance abuse (The Addiction Inoculation: Raising Healthy Kids in a Culture of Dependence, release date April 2021) and am researching my third book.
