I am a passionate Early Years professional, nursery manager, and proud mum of two children aged 11 and 14, as well as a proud step mum to a 19-year-old.

Both in my professional role and at home, I have seen first hand how important it is to help children not only learn words, but truly understand the meaning behind them.

I believe that when children can recognise and name their emotions, they build the foundations for confidence, communication, and healthy relationships.

This belief inspired me to create What Letter Shall We Look at Today? This book is a gentle, engaging book designed to support children aged 3–7 in exploring emotions and everyday concepts through relatable, age-appropriate scenarios and charming animal characters from A–Z.

My aim is to nurture emotional literacy, self awareness, and early language development in a way that feels natural, supportive, and enjoyable for young children.

I am proud to see the book being used not only at home, but also within Early Years settings during circle times, one to one observations, and being used a resource in all areas of the EYFS.

I am passionate about being part of positive change in early childhood education. I believe that when we help children understand and regulate their emotions from a young age, we are supporting them to grow into more confident, resilient, and emotionally aware adults.
