I was asked to comment on BBC Three Counties Radio today about the Mum who stood up to some children who thought it was ‘fun’ to throw boxes off the shelves as the IKEA worker struggled to put them back again.
The Ikea worker’s pleas for them to stop were met with swearing and an obscene gesture. A couple of nearby shoppers peered round to see what the kerfuffle was about, then hurried on their way.
Overwhelmed with indignation and a desire to defend this innocent employee, Liz Stout’s reaction was instinctive and instant — to teach these children a lesson.
