I’m speaking on BBC Radio Herford and Worcester today about the return of Ched Evans to training at Sheffield United as he is a role model to thousands of kids.

This reminds me of an article I wrote a few years ago when Tiger Woods fell from grace.

Heroes, Role Models and David Beckham – being a super hero to your kids

I use everything in the media to “Talk and Teach” my kids from Amy Winehouse around the dangers of drugs to the airbrushing of media images to glamourise women.

So why not use this example to do the same.

Clearly Ched was found guilty by a jury of 12 and has served his time for a heinous crime, about that I’m in no doubt, and the young woman will carry this burden for the rest of her life, but does that mean he shouldn’t be allowed back to his job? A builder would return to work, a banker would return to work so why not a footballer?

What is your opinion ?
