What is Family Mediation?

I do a great deal of work with Collaborative Lawyers and Mediating Lawyers, as I believe putting your children at the heart of the divorce process is the best way to separate, regardless of  what’s happened to you, or your own emotions and feelings towards your ex.

That’s why I am passionate about my One Page Profile Process which a simple way to  put the needs , wants and wishes of your children first so they are not damaged, traumatised or scarred for life after the separation.

Here is some helpful information from the excellent websites Only Dads & Only Mums.

“In April this year, Legal Aid was withdrawn from parents seeking legal support through divorce, separation and child contact issues, the only exception being where there is evidence of serious domestic abuse.

However, what many people still don’t know is that Legal Aid is still available for those parents looking to use Family Mediation as an alternative to going through the family court system.

Only Dads asked some of the Family Mediators on our Local Support Directory to write about the different aspects of Family Mediation.

For those thinking of using Mediation we hope you will find these articles informative.
