Holly Willoughby Loses Her Cool With Attention Seeking’Apprentice’ Star Katie Hopkins

I popped home the other day at lunchtime to hear my daughter say “Come & look at this Mum” – it was the attention seeking Katie Hopkins ranting about how you can apparently judge whether children are suitable friends for your kids by their names !

When I’ve appeared on “This Morning” you couldn’t find a more genuinely lovely woman than Holly, but the usually mild-mannered Holly Willoughby lost her temper on ‘This Morning‘ yesterday when guest contributor Katie Hopkins made some controversial comments about children’s names being linked to class.

The former ‘Apprentice‘ star looked stunned when a visibly annoyed Holly shut her down at the end of the segment on ITV’s morning show.

Hopkins said: “I think you can tell a great deal from a name. For me there’s certain names that I hear and I think, ‘Urgh’. For me, a name is a shortcut of finding out what class that child comes from and makes me ask, ‘Do I want my children to play with them?

“There’s a whole set of things that go with children like that and that’s why I don’t like those sorts of children.”

Katie has been accused of outrageous snobbery after saying she doesn’t want her children to associate with others who have names like ‘Tyler’ or ‘Charmaine’.

I just wonder what values about people Katie’s kids are learning from their Mum – children don’t start off life intolerant, racist or aware of a another child’s class or social background.

Life is harsh enough without judging an innocent child by their name…..

Do you judge people based on their first names?
