My poor father-in-law who fell off the hospital bed.

My lovely 82 year old father -in-law came to stay today and has been battling the trauma and shock of going in for an operation on his prostrate and falling off the bed in the recovery room, due to negligence of the hospital. They forgot to put up the side bars on the bed while they were washing some impliments.
He is not a man to make a fuss, prefers to defer to authority but he has been suffering great pain in his neck and shoulder as he fell flat onto the floor while unconscious.
My husband has been fighting his corner with the hospital who have accepted their mistake but he arrived today looking tired and stiff as he has had 8 weeks of physiotherapy so I asked him if he’d like to try tapping or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to relieve his aches and pains and also to clear the trauma he suffered in the fall.
He has seen me tap my mother – in – law with much success with her arthritis pain so he said, “Well, let’s give it a go!”
We went through the tapping a couple of times and he smiled, looked a little sheepish as he’s not used to this sort of thing and said, “Gosh….. it’s gone !”
I’m so pleased as he is such a kind man, does so much for us as a family, and doesn’t deserve to be in pain and I’m really pleased he feels empowered and curious to “have a go” at something a bit out of his comfort zone.
As I write he’s moving logs from the boot of his car into our fireplace, with a smile on his face.
Emotional Freedom Technique is the new therapy for the 21st century as it is a very safe way to get rid of anxiety, stress, and feelings of guilt and overwhelm that lots of parents suffer from. It is based on tapping different Chinese meridian lines with your fingers – and you’ve probably heard lots of people talking about tapping their problems away.
You may have seen Paul McKenna on British television demonstrating how tapping various points on your body can alleviate stress, anger and phobias. He has also shown how it can treat weight loss, smoking and other addictions and I first became impressed with it through regularly assisting Paul on his Easy Weight Loss Seminars.
Chris Evans became fascinated and convinced about its effectiveness on his BBC Radio 2 Show recently and Whoopi Goldberg tapped away her severe 10 year flying phobia recently too to appear in London in “Sister Act” and on the Jonathan Ross Show.
Tens of thousands of people worldwide have already used Tapping to conquer their anger, increase their energy or let go of negative feelings. It has also been used to great effect in treating trauma victims in Kosovo, Iraq and Uganda and after natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina.
As a EFT Parenting Specialist, trained in the Callahan Techniques, I use it with parents and children as another tool in my coaching toolkit as it is a completely safe way of eliminating stressful or anxious feelings with no side effects.
If you’re interested, curious or just plain nosey to see how such a simple and quick technique can relieve pain, alleviate fear, reduce phobia or get rid of stress, guilt and overwhelm – download my free ebook ” EFT Questions and Answers” explaining where to tap and if you’d like to work with me on any issues bothering you just give me a ring as I’m only at the end of the phone on 01342 833355
