What’s The Big Deal With Skin-To-Skin?

ADHD Awareness Month and Learning Disabilities Awareness Month.

Events will be held around the country to increase awareness and understanding of ADHD and learning disabilities. The goal is to dispel myths and get facts out to parents, teachers and the general public. The National Centre for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) and the Learning Disabilities Association of America are among the groups leading the way.

Don’t Stew – Ask Sue Parenting Q & A

Q. Dear Sue I’m worried because even though my son Tom is only 2, he is a pusher. He pushes other children over all the time, and yesterday in the play park he dragged a little girl off the chute by her t-shirt. I was so embarrassed and I couldn’t apologise enough. Compared to my friend’s girls, my son seems much more energetic and my friends are always commenting about how much energy Tom has. I take him out to soft play centres every day, mainly to tire him out, but I’m now becoming anxious and dreading it, because I know as soon as I take my eyes off him, even for a second, he will push another child. HELP!’

I’ve done a #QuickWin video about this which you can see if you join my Parenting Club.

Children are egocentric when they are 2 years old – they are unable to see things from the other person’s point of view & they also lack mature language skills and social skills.
