Well everywhere I go at the moment I hear exhausted parents trying to hold onto their patience as their kids are getting over excited and naughty !

The lights , the tree, the chocolate, the excitement about Father Christmas coming, are  really wonderful but can whip your child up  into a bit of a frenzy !!

But don’t despair – help is at hand !!

In order to understand why your child is misbehaving it is really helpful to keep a diary.

It makes it easier to remember what exactly happened and it also helps you to identify if there are any patterns or triggers to the behaviour because understanding what might be causing the behaviour will be the key to changing it and stopping it happening!

It is also very helpful to write down how you behave and feel as well, as you may be responding in a pattern as well that might be causing your child’s  over excited behaviour !

You might be panicking about the pressie buying, ordering the turkey, finding the perfect socks for your auntie so you are more distracted and pre occupied so your child starts playing up to get your attention.

You might be running on empty and not have enough  energy to nip that naughty behaviour in the bud – as you’re tired. The short term ….. let them get away with it …… moment?

Well, I created my Behaviour Diary to help you easily get back in control and praising the behaviour you do want to see more of. So download it for free here and feel free to pass it on to all your friends who are in the same boat…………… so your Christmas can be magical after all with happy, excited , well behaved  kids !!
